To really get in the lifeguard spirit, my boss, Steven, has decided to really go for it. We are currently in the second week of “Guard Wars” and I personally think it should be a show on TLC.
Seriously.
This games has gotten so serious and intense that it’s just crazy!! The idea is that you earn points through doing rover duties, completing rescue skills perfectly, and swimming a 500 each week. You can also get points taken away by showing up for your shift late. The latter has turned us all into a bunch of idiots that run into work at the very last minute to beat the clock, it's insane.
Today was my testing day for CPR/AED and can I just say that I’m a PRO? I passed it perfectly with no mistakes. Yeah, I’m probably the only lifeguard on the planet that could actually save your life. Just sayin’.
