Prom?

As a junior, I have been seriously debating going to Prom. for homeschoolers, prom isn't really that big of a deal, but it is still commonly labeled as part of the "high school experience". Although I don't really see what all the fuss is about, part of me really wants to find out.

I'm not usually one of those people that gets caught up in trends. Sure, I like to take part in the occasional fad, but only because I like what it is. What it supports. NOT because everyone else is doing it. Take that stupid Sillybandz trend a little while back.

THAT. Was stupid.

What's the point of wearing a useless animal shaped rubber band around your wrist? C'mon people!! Now, the Livestrong bracelet trend, (which, I THINK is still going on. I can never tell.) That was a trend that actually SUPPORTED something: Cancer. All the proceedings WENT to something.

Anway, back to the point. If I don't like trends at all, then why would I be interested in going to prom? Well, you know what? It sounds like some pretty dang good fun. And if all I'm going to get out of this experience is a really expensive dress that I'll never wear again, and the chance to dance to some cheesy song, then bring on the Conga Line!! This girl's ready to go.

till the disco ball spins,
lindsey.
